Poho'iki
Big Island Hawaii
Though I had been to this spot countless times when my mom would go surfing, I never really explored until now. Wow, some unique landscapes. Lovely place to have a polarizer on a sunny day. These rocks are "a'a" lava rock, not sure just how old it is, but I guess you could say it is relatively new since the Big Island is the youngest in the the Hawaiian island chain. I was taught that how you remember the types of lava is, a'a makes you say "ah! ah!!" when you walk on it.
While "pahoehoe" lava forms to be a very smooth rock. So there is a little educational stuff for ya' there. 
No crop, shot with fujicolor superia + circ. polarizer, some post work done in ps.
